Ultimo and his worlds at San Siro: “When I said I felt alone with my dreams hanging around my neck...”

Niccolò Moriconi, 29 years old, aka Ultimo, is living a magical moment
Milao, July 5, 2025 – Ultimo and his worlds. In the show that today and Monday brings the Roman singer-songwriter back to the throbbing heart of the “Meazza” , that catwalk similar to the key-amulet that dangles around his neck opens the lock of dreams trapped in his songs for fans.
“As long as you are with me, I will not move from here” Niccolò Moriconi had said at the time of the first stages to underline the visceral bond with the applauding public of his extra-large crowd baths. And time has not loosened the bond, as demonstrated by the pulverization of tickets months in advance also for this new undertaking, which sees him on a stage 65 meters wide and 24 meters high, characterized precisely by the long strip of stage that allows him to run, dance and kneel among the people singing that “we are stars forever close in a piece of sky” under a cascade of streamers.
A journey that from “Dove il mare finita” leads to the encore of “Sogni appesi” without leaving out things like “Colpa delle favole”, “Peter Pan (voglia volare con me?), “Rondini al guinzaglio”, “I tuoi particolari”, “Planeti”, “Il ballo delle incertezze”, “22 Settembre” nor a medley that includes things like “Tutto diventa normale”, “Quella casa che eravamo in mente”, “Paura mai”, “L'eleganza delle stelle”, “Occhi lucidi”. And to think that, thinking of Victor Hugo, Niccolò would have liked to be called Miserabil e. “After all, 'Miserabili' was the nickname we friends from the park called each other” he admits in interviews. “Even our chat on WhatsApp is called that”.
Thinking of Jean Valjean, using “Miserable” as a stage name would have been literary, but unlikely to bring to radio and TV. “Ultimo, on the other hand, immediately seemed right to me. A good calling card”. So it was. The rest was told in the documentary “Vivo coi sogni appesi” (I Live with Dreams Appes) in which the boy from San Basilio says “I bless those times when I wrote about feeling alone, because I was preparing myself to no longer be alone”.
The birth of Enea, the son born to him by his partner Jacqueline Luna Di Giacomo , second-born of Heather Parisi (“When you soon arrive in this cage of madmen called the world, I want this song to already be there for you and for you to know forever that only in a song am I able to leave you the best part of me” he wrote as welcome verses), the duet at the Olimpico of “Perfect” and “Piccola stella” with Ed Sheeran , are for Moriconi two special moments in a year also marked by the release of the first live album “Ultimo Live Stadi 2024” , which obviously also includes several moments from this 2025 appendix because, as he says, the fairy tale continues… and it doesn't seem to be able to stop anymore.
